The South Side and Lincoln Libraries preceded the Forest Home Library which opened in 1966. Forest Home was replaced by the Mitchell Street Branch in 2017. The branch opened as a mixed-use development and contains a wealth of architectural details which now lend a unique charm to this two-story branch library serving the south side.
