Digital Pathways

As essential community hubs, libraries play a vital role in building adults' online health literacy by offering programs that help them evaluate health information, make informed decisions, and access reliable resources. Milwaukee Public Library has been selected for the American Library Association’s Digital Pathways: Online Health Literacy Programming for Adults initiative, a pilot program that supports libraries’ health literacy programming.

Between July and December 2026, Milwaukee Public Library will offer in-person and virtual programs focused on finding reliable health information, navigating digital health resources, and supporting community health and wellness for adults and older adults.
