Why and How to Eat Locally at the East Branch Library, Wednesday February 18th
Fresh, locally grown foods don’t just taste delicious – they are better for you, your community, and the environment. Jamie Ferschinger of the Urban Ecology Center will present a program on the benefits of “eating local." Hear about the wide range of benefits that motivate many in the Milwaukee community to choose to eat more food that is grown nearby or made by local businesses. We’ll share how you can find this local food -- directly from family farms as well as in restaurants and grocery stores near you.
This program is arranged by Eat Local Milwaukee and will take place Wednesday, February 18th from 6pm-7:30pm at the East Branch Library. No registration is required, and free parking is available in the Library's surface lot. The lot is accessible from Cramer Street or Thomas Avenue.
We hope to see you there!
