First Grade. First Card.

The First Grade Library Card Campaign runs from November 2024-May 2025. Make plans now for MPL staff to visit your first grade classroom!  

First grade is the perfect time for students to get a library card. Milwaukee Public Library staff will arrange a 30-minute visit with first grade classes to get students excited about becoming readers and learn about some of the exciting things they can do at their public library. Each participating classroom receives a free book. Complete the application below and we’ll contact you to set up a visit to your class.
