Expand your appreciation of the anime genre at the East Branch Library!
Each month an anime film or TV show will be screened in the community room. After viewing the selection, attendees will engage in a discussion led by a member of the Entertainment and Culture Promotion Society.
November's selection is GATE.
Synopsis:
A gate suddenly appears in Tokyo's Ginza district, unleashing a portal where monsters, medieval knights and other fantasy beings emerge from another world to wreak havoc on Tokyo. The Japanese Defense Force takes action against these monsters and pushes them back into the "Gate". Third Reconnaissance Team is dispatched to the "Special Region," lead by officer (and otaku) Youji Itami. On their travels they are joined by a beautiful elf girl, a survivor from the dragon's rampage, who guides the group across the dangerous new world.
