The Banned Wagon

The Banned Wagon

THE BANNED WAGON IS COMING TO MILWAUKEE

Milwaukee Central Library
814 W. Wisconsin Avenue
Tuesday, September 24, 2024
10 a.m.–2 p.m. CDT

The freedom to read is under attack.

Across America, book bans are on the rise, threatening to silence the voices of authors and deprive us of the stories that help us understand ourselves and the world around us.

The Banned Wagon is hitting the road for its second Banned Wagon tour, stopping in communities across the Midwest and the South that are impacted by book banning.

Save the date to join the fight against censorship and pick up your free banned book!

Powered by Penguin Random House, Unite Against Book Bans (UABB), First Book, and Little Free Library.

Enjoy book giveaways, workshops, an artist meet-and-greet, and food trucks while connecting with community literacy advocates and standing up for your right to access all kinds of books. The Banned Wagon will be parked on 9th Street
from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
