Makerspace Community Zine 2024

We are happy to announce that the 2024 Milwaukee Zine Fest Community Zine you helped us create is now available. Your drawings helped us tell a story about the Milwaukee Public Library. It’s a zine about community placemaking - what the library means to you, what it looks like, and what you want it to look like. The library is shared public space that we all help create together and this zine is, “Our Library Story.”

You can download a digital version or get a free physical zine while supplies last at each Makerspace location.

Notice about preventing the spread of COVID19:

These kits were assembled safely at the Milwaukee Public Library in accordance with guidance from the Milwaukee County Health Department. Prepared kits were quarantined for a minimum of 4 days before we made them available for distribution. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the principal mode by which people are infected with SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19) is through exposure to respiratory droplets carrying infectious virus. It is possible for people to be infected through contact with contaminated surfaces or objects (fomites), but the risk is generally considered to be low.
