African American Genealogy Pathfinder
The African American Genealogy Pathfinder was created to help those who want to search for their African American ancestors but do not know where or how to begin.
The resources found on the pages of this pathfinder—Getting Started, Reference Tools, History, Vital Records, Organizations, Additional Resources—were put together using the availability of sources at the Milwaukee Public Library. The tools on these pages are starting points and by no means comprehensive.
For more information visit the Frank P. Zeidler Humanities Room located in the Central Library.
The African American Genealogy Pathfinder is presented in cooperation with the author, Kimberly Tomlinson, copyright 2005.
