Nikki Janzen
Lovingly known in the poetry community as "Darlin" Nikki, this social justice educator, mentor, spoken word poet, mixed media artist, jewley creator, restorative justice trainer and beloved community workshopper, first used poetry to escape and later as an antidote to the racial and socio-economic tensions in her life.

As a World Slam Haiku Champion, Two time Grand Slam Champion of Milwaukee, BET Slam Regional Winner, Teacher of the Year with a Master's in Multi-cultural education and undergrad in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences, Nikki uses her words to cultivate healing spaces, paint stories of hope, dream of liberation, revive humans as folk tales not to be forgotten and to bridge diverse communities; knowing that white supremacy culture hurts everyone in different ways, she creates brave spaces, where participants can use self-reflection, imagination and the joy of wordplay to overcome any challenge.
