Former Governor Martin Schreiber shares My Two Elaines, a story of he and his wife Elaine's journey with Alzheimer's disease, from the first signs to day-to-day struggles and joys. Marty candidly counsels those taking on a caregiving role offering sage advice that respects the one with Alzheimer's while maintaining the caregiver's health. Although this is the Schreibers' personal tale, many Americans will recognize the broad outlines as Alzheimer's disease is one of the great health challenges facing mankind in the 21st century. Book available for purchase. Net proceeds from the sales of My Two Elaines will be used to promote Alzheimer's caregiver support programs.
