Good Time Party Girl: The Notorious Life of Dirty Helen Cromwell at Tippecanoe

Wednesday, May 13, 2020 - 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM

Audience: Adults

Categories: Book Sales, Author/Storyteller

Join Christina Ward, Vice-President of Feral House Publishing as she shares the wonderfully entertaining life and history of Dirty Helen Cromwell, a local legend in Milwaukee.  Dirty Helen was a Madam, mobbed up, had people killed, was Al Capone's girlfriend and had the filthiest mouth anyone had.  But how many of these stories are true? Good Time Party Girl: The Notorious Life of Dirty Helen Cromwell, 1886-1969 is Dirty Helen's full-tilt autobiography told with ribald wit.  Helen throws off the myth that our grannies (and great-grannies) were docile homebodies.  Copies of the book will be available for purchase with thanks to our friends at Boswell Book Company.

Location: Tippecanoe Library Community Room
