Words & Wisdom ~ Martin Luther King Jr in Art & Words at King Branch
Artist and bookmaker Amos Paul Kennedy Jr. created the accordion-style book which has 10 by 13 inch pages, and stretches nearly 12 feet when opened. This beautiful book is on display behind the youth desk; come in a take a look!
Each of the book's 17 pages contains a quote by Dr. King. These quotations celebrating the words and wisdom of Dr. King are also inscribed on the ends of the book stacks in the library.
As we plan and prepare for an incredible Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration on Monday, January 18th, 2016 from 9 am to 5 pm at the King Branch, we will share these quotations and some of the history of the Martin Luther King Branch.
