Summer Computer Classes @ MPL
MPL will be offering its next round of FREE Computer Classes starting the week of June 2nd. These classes cover a wide range of computer skills, from the very basics to in-depth instruction on using Microsoft Office applications. Below are descriptions of the classes offered:
Computer Basics - Learn the basics including using a mouse and a keyboard, working with windows and basic computer terminology.
Internet Basics - Learn about the Internet and the World Wide Web, how to navigate a web browser and explore the library's Web site.
Internet Search Tools - Learn how to search the web using a variety of tools such as directories and search engines.
Email Basics - Learn how to sign up for a free e-mail account and how to compose, send, reply to and forward messages.
Intro to Word - Create a simple document, edit and format text, correct spelling, adjust margins, save, print and open files in Microsoft Word.
Intro to Excel - Learn to create, edit and format a simple spreadsheet, perform calculations, save, print and open files in Microsoft Excel.
Intro to PowerPoint - Learn how to create a simple presentation, create and edit slides, insert clipart, apply designs, work with views, and run a slide show in Microsoft PowerPoint.
Intermediate Word - Learn how to use editing tools like find and replace text, insert a table, insert clip art and work with drawing tools.
Intermediate Excel - Learn how to create a simple database. Work more in-depth with data: create charts, find and replace data, as well as sort and perform more complex calculations.
