Children will learn about native species and even have the opportunity to handle live snakes and turtles!

Sensational Skunks

Saturday, June 24, 2-3pm

Enjoy a skunk-themed story time with live skunks. They are cuter than you think! (And descented.)

Wiggly Worms

Tuesday, June 27, 6-7pm

Wiggle and giggle with Wehr Nature Center as they present Linda Glaser’s book Wonderful Worms. Explore live worms and even make worm art!

Eagles and Friends presented by Schlitz Audubon

Tuesday, July 18, 6–7 pm

Learn more about the state bird and other amazing raptors with Schlitz Audubon. Program includes artifacts and a live Bald Eagle.

Incredible Bats

Wednesday, July 19, 6-7pm

Enjoy an educational presentation, followed by an interaction with live fruit bats.

Cricket Song

Tuesday, Aug 1, 6-7pm

Wehr Nature Center will present Eric Carle’s The Very Quiet Cricket through puppets and insect sounds. Live crickets will help children learn about the insect world. Includes a craft.

Animals with a Bad Reputation

Tuesday, Aug 15, 6-7pm

Schlitz Audubon will incorporate live animals, hands-on demonstrations, songs and stories to show how some animals get a poor public persona. Meet a snake, toad, and tarantula, and learn more about other misunderstood creatures!
